When God is on the Move

After the faulty intentions of Ananias and Sapphira led to disaster, the apostle’s ministry continued. God was on the move and lives were being transformed.

As the message of salvation spread, opposition grew. The religious leaders were jealous and didn’t want to hear it anymore. They had tried to warn the disciples to cease and desist, but when that didn’t work, they decided to have them thrown in jail. Surely that would put an end to the revival!

But that’s not what happened. Instead, God sent an angel to break them out so they could keep telling everyone about eternal life revealed in Jesus Christ. A life that is active, dynamic, full, and abundant. The kind of life only Jesus can offer.

“Go, stand and continue to tell the people in the temple [courtyards] the whole message of this Life [the eternal life revealed by Christ and found through faith in Him].” – Acts 5:20 AMP

When God is on the move, nothing will stop it!

After the jailbreak, the assembly of elders heard the apostles were still preaching, so they tried again to silence them. But Peter and the apostles had no intention of being quiet. Jesus had told them to go to the ends of the earth with the gospel, and that’s what they were going to do.

The apostles were living the zoé life Jesus had promised, and they could not keep it to themselves. Nothing would stop them from telling everyone about Jesus.

It’s crazy to think that Jesus used this rag-tag group of misfits to spread the gospel. It’s even crazier to think he’s still using misfits to spread the gospel today. (It’s me! I’m a misfit!)

If you’ve been set free and God is on the move in your life, you are a living witness to His transforming power. He has an eternal plan that will come to pass and you are part of it!
