Escape the Wrath

The further along we get on the timeline of human history, the further away from the One True God mankind moves. People are creating their own gods based on their lifestyle. Goodness and truth are relative. Evil and injustice abound. The world can’t go on like this forever. God is being patient, giving people the opportunity to turn to Him, but there will come a time when He will have had enough!

Or do you have no regard for the wealth of His kindness and tolerance and patience [in withholding His wrath]? Are you [actually] unaware or ignorant [of the fact] that God’s kindness leads you to repentance [that is, to change your inner self, your old way of thinking – seek His purpose for your life]? – Romans 2:4 AMP

In the book of Revelation, we see what it will be like when God’s wrath is poured out. The great deception will have caused many people to make their final decision to deny God and receive the mark of the beast. Jesus will come and harvest the earth separating the people of God from the people of the devil. And then the final wrath of God will come.

There are seven bowls in heaven that are being stored up with the wrath of God. These are the complete and final judgment of God that will one day be poured out onto the earth and its ungodly inhabitants. No one will be able to say they weren’t warned. No one will be able to say that they never had the chance to repent.

In the world today, people have decided that the standard of right and wrong is set by current societal trends. But that is a lie. God determines right and wrong because He created the earth and everything in it. The judgment of God will be based on His Word and His Word alone. Whether or not we agree is irrelevant.

God created these standards to protect us. He knows how quickly the human heart can fall into depravity. A thought turns to a deed, a deed to a habit, and a habit to a lifestyle. Choices that “feel good” in the present lead to painful consequences in the future. Our soul was created by God with a longing for God. Trying to satisfy that longing with anything else will leave us eternally empty. We may be able to convince ourselves that we’ve found happiness, but happiness will not last beyond our last breath on earth. Only the joy of a life lived in harmony with our Creator will follow us into eternity.

When the time approaches for the wrath of God to finally be complete, the devil will know that the end of his reign is near, and he won’t go down without a fight. The one world government he amasses under the anti-christ will assemble with him ready to arrogantly and foolishly battle the Lord Jesus.

Today people are being led to believe that the world’s problems will be solved if we all come together. What they don’t realize is that the rallying of the world’s forces is not the plan of great world leaders, but of the enemy of God. The one world government will come to pass just as people are hoping for, but not with the outcome that they anticipate.

For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His plan by having one purpose and to give their kingdom to the beast until God’s words are accomplished. – Revelation 17:17 CSB

God sees the evil and injustice in the world. He hears the cries of His people. He sees people arrogantly refusing His gracious gift of salvation. And through it all, His wrath is being stored up in heaven. God’s love is boundless and wonderful, but His wrath will be immense and terrible. Make the decision today to follow Him. Surrender your life to Jesus and you will not experience the wrath of God.
