Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So

The world is filled with people facing struggles of all kinds. Financial burdens. Health problems. Marital troubles. Wayward children. Stress. Anxiety. Fear. You can likely relate to at least one of these issues. But as a redeemed child of God, you have also seen His goodness in your life. Do you talk about it? Do people know about the goodness of God in your life?

Psalm 107 commences book five of the Psalms. These Psalms are all about praising God and proclaiming His goodness. God’s people have so much to be thankful for and we should not be quiet about it.

Who are those who have something to say about the goodness of God?

Those who wandered in the wilderness desperately searching for something to fill the hole in their soul. Then they cried out to the Lord, and He rescued them from their distress and led them by the right path.

Those who sat in darkness and gloom, plagued by strongholds of their rebellion, stumbling about with chains around their feet. Then they cried out to the Lord, and He broke their chains apart and set them free.

Those who suffered afflictions brought on by their own choices and certain it was hopeless. They were ready to give up. Then they cried out to the Lord, and He healed them and rescued them from the pit.

Those who faced raging seas of struggles in their own fleeting strength, beaten by the waves and slowly sinking in despair. Then they cried out to the Lord, and He stilled the storms and hushed the waves.

These are those who have something to say about the faithfulness of God! What has God done in your life and who can you tell?
