Science has never been my strongest subject. Although it is fascinating, it is usually way over my head. I got as far as Biology 101 in college…and that was a struggle.
One basic scientific principle that we’ve all heard is that DNA is the basis for all life. In every living organism, this tiny molecule (which, I guess, is actually two molecules bonded together) holds all of the genetic information needed for life. That is amazing! Far too amazing not to have been designed by the Creator.
When I see a drawing of DNA, it has the appearance of being knit or woven together. Which, interestingly, is one way the Bible uses to describe how God made each of us.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! (Psalms 139:13-17 NLT)

An amazing fact, really! The holy and almighty Creator of entire universes took the time to care about the tiniest details that go into making each one of us who we are. Different than everyone else.
That realization alone should be enough to bring us to our knees in awe and thanksgiving and cause us to humbly hand over control of our “destiny” to the one that started it. He already has it figured out, anyway!
