That number could drastically impact the outcome of the election. If you are a citizen of America, you have the responsibility and the privilege to select your leaders. And if you are a Christian and you don't vote, you are allowing our leaders to be chosen by people who do not love God or His church. Know the issues. Know the candidates. Know the Word of God. This is the ultimate glow-up!
Today it is easier to profess culturally popular i Today it is easier to profess culturally popular ideas than to proudly proclaim what the Bible says. As Christ followers, we feel the need to self-censor so we don’t get blacklisted. Biblical foundations of morality that used to be good and right are now the very things society attacks. It is hard to be bold for our faith when the world would prefer we shut up about it. The apostle Paul had a message for his protégé, Timothy, that applies to us today: The temptation to be fearful and timid is not from God. He has given you all the power, love, and discipline that you need to stand boldly for your faith!
Throughout the Bible we see God choosing some and Throughout the Bible we see God choosing some and rejecting others based on His sovereign purposes. God chose the land of Israel and the Jewish people to receive His special calling and blessing and to serve as witnesses to the world of His glory. To this day, He continues to choose people. He calls them, He saves them, and He sanctifies them to be a light to the world. God’s sovereign election is a demonstration of His great love. He sends His Holy Spirit to compel us to come, and He opens our minds and softens our hearts to respond. On our own, we would continue in a state of rebellion. We would not follow Jesus. ✨“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.” – John 6:44✨ If you have put your faith in Jesus for salvation, rejoice! You have been chosen by God. If you have not yet turned to Jesus and the fact that God chooses some and not others has gotten under your skin, you have two choices. Respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and repent. Or remain in rebellion. ✨If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9✨ If you surrender to Jesus today, rejoice! You have been chosen by God!
Repeatedly the Bible tells us to "fear the Lord." Repeatedly the Bible tells us to "fear the Lord." Part of the reason we do not see a reverent fear of the Lord in our day is that people have stopped taking Him seriously. They don't take His Word seriously. They don't take His commands seriously. They don't take His hatred of sin seriously. People have stopped believing that God will do what He says He will do. ✨The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! - Psalm 111:10✨ ✨"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." - Matthew 10:28✨
