One Final Answer

Throughout all of time a shadow existed.

The lure of sin could not be resisted.

Separated from God by a chasm so wide,

with no way to cross to the other side.

In rebellion and sin we were dreadfully lost.

On our own we could never cover the cost.

Then God in His mercy sent the solution.

The one final answer to sins great pollution.

God’s holy justice could not be denied,

So Jesus, our Savior, suffered and died.

But that’s not the end, there’s more to the story.

Three days in the grave than He rose to great glory.

Now in victory He sits at the Father’s right hand.

Interceding for us as we await His last stand.

When one day as promised He will settle the score,

And evil and darkness will continue no more!
